The participants will be selected to cover leading roles, maybe cover/sing positions, sing smaller roles,
and sing in the ensemble in the main stage production of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor. The Greek Opera Studio young artists
and apprentices will also perform a production of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi as well as a childrens performance of another opera or musical.
The Greek Opera Studio singers will also be able to work and study with Master teachers, and perform in the annual Liederabend, or opera gala’s at
the Apollo Theater. This merging of professionals and the opera studio, allows the GOS participants be in direct contact with international artists
in rehearsals and classes on a daily basis. The final performance of the International Festival of the Aegean will be the Greek Opera Studio Gala featuring
only the young artists in staged opera scenes and ensembles. This concert has a huge interest with the public, growing with the art form and supporting the
singers of tomorrow. Additional performances include oratorio performances, a Musical Theater evening and the final Gala at the Woerlitz Garten Eichenkranz
Theater in Northern Germany.
