Ioanna Karamolegkou

 

She was born in Athens. She started piano lessons when she was 7 years old, at the National Conservatory o Greece. In 2004 she gets admitted at the School of Music Studies of the Athens University. In 2005 and in 2007 she gets her Degrees in Harmony and Counterpoint, respectively, while in 2007, she also attains a Degree in Piano Performance.

In 2012 she gets her Degree as a Soloist Singer with the highest merits, under Christina Giannakopoulou, at the Athenaeum Conservatory.In 2014 she graduates from the Konservatorium Wien- Privatuniversitat of Vienna, under Julia Conwell. In 2014 she became a member of the Greek National Opera Studio, where she sang the role of Cupidon ( Orphée aux Enfers)

She has participated in seminars in the art of singing, in Greece, as well as abroad, held by Aris Christofelis, Nicolas Vassiliou, Kurt Equiluz, Sumi Jo, Cheryl Studer and Julia Conwell. She has given numerous recitals in Greece and abroad. She is a member of the Scuola Resupina in  Vienna, as well as a member of the Arlond Schönberg Chor and performed in many festivals in Austria, Hungary, Germany and Slovakia.

In 2016 she won the Musical Odyssey Prize in Nafplion ( Greece )

In 2017 she will make her debut in the role of Annina in Cyprus.

Since 2016 she is collaborating with the Greek Radio Choir.
