Miranda Makrynioti

 

(Mezzo-Soprano / Tisbe in La Cenerentola / Narrator #2 in the children’s performance / GOS Young Artist) was born in Athens. A graduate of the National Conservatoire of Greece, she continued her studies at London’s Royal Academy of Music, obtaining a Diploma of Postgraduate Performance in Opera with Distinction. She has performed for the RAM Opera: Destiny and Fury (La Calisto, Cavalli), Sleep Fairy (Hänsel und Gretel, Humperdinck); the Rafi Opera Company: Armelinde (Cendrillion, Viardot), Alcina (Alcina, Handel); the Greek National Opera: Annina (La traviata, Verdi), Zweiter Knabe (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), Spirito (The Legend of The Ancient Mariner-world premiere, Sofianopulo), Aricie (La Délivrance de Thésée, Milhaud), Attendant (Beware! The Prince is Messy, Kypourgos), Myrsouda (The Murderess, Koumendakis), Frantík (The Cunning Little Vixen, Janáček), Poklízečka and Komorná (The Makropulos Case, Janáček). She has also performed for the Camerata Armonia Atenea/Athens Festival and the Festival of the Aegean in Syros.
